📍📅 On November 19, 2024, a day dedicated to HSE (Health, Safety and Working Environment) was organized for our team working in quarries, on the Billy site in France.
This is the first time in Phosphea’s history that an industrial site has closed for an entire day to dedicate itself to an event dedicated to HSE!
On the program for the day:
MORNING: 🏭💥 intervention by the CPIA, “ Organization for the development of occupational health and safety prevention in quarries and other activities governed by the Labor Code”.
Thanks to our speaker Manuel Bohème, who has been our contact at the CPIA for over 15 years, employees were able to practice detecting safety problems on several photos and diagrams, and were informed about the 2023 accidentology statistics. This also provided an opportunity to present some examples of accidents that have taken place on similar industrial sites.
AFTERNOON: ⚠️😴 intervention by MIST, “Occupational health and safety service”.
The main topic was “sleep”, which is all too often underestimated. To better understand its importance, it was essential to recall the composition of the different sleep cycles, associated diseases (sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy, etc.) and how to sleep better. In a professional context, fatigue can lead to a lack of vigilance that can be dangerous for the individual and those around him or her. This is why several examples of accidents caused by lack of sleep were presented.
This day was a great opportunity to raise our employees’ awareness of safety and remind them of the right gestures for their health and that of their colleagues. 👷👷♀️
