Phosphea Presents Its Innovative Research at the 57th Swine Days’ Research

During this event, Phosphea presented a scientific poster on an innovative topic: the supplementation of Lithothamnium, a marine calcium source, to improve farrowing performance and reduce the risk of lameness in sows during gestation and lactation.

📈 The initial results of this study revealed a fivefold reduction in the risk of lameness (p<0.05) and better piglet uniformity (p<0.05) without negative effects on performance.
